Solid Silane H20
Projects that used Silane Cream
Since 1999, Solid Silane has been used in various projects in Australia to protect reinforced concrete structures from water and chloride ion damage. The projects include reinforced buildings, bridges and wharves.
The Silane cream is found to be a better way of treating reinforced concrete than using liquid Silane in terms of application and the environmental issues while still maintaining the impregnation performance.

Safety Beach Bridge (VIC 1999)
This VicRoads project was he first one to use Solid Silane.
The depth of impregnation achieved was
6mm in 60 mPa high quality reinforced concrete.
Apartments "Hawthorn on The Park" (VIC, 2000)
This project was built with pre-cast concrete panels which were treated with Solid Silane to protect against water penetration.
Phllip Island Bridge (Vic, 2000)
This was another VicRoads project using Solid Silane.
Melbourne Station Pier (Vic, 2000)
The full structure was protected with Solid Silane
Granville Recreation Centre (Vic, 2000)
The concrete slab was pre-treated with Solid Silane
before polished timber floor boards were Installed.
Brisbane Gateway Bridge (Qld, 2001 to 2005)
This project will require more than 10,000 litres of Solid Silane over the next 5 years.
The second bridge is under planning which requires the same treatment using Solid Silane.
Brisbane Port (Qld, 2001/2002)
This project was treated with Solid Silane.
The treatment will be extended to all wharf structures
including the new wharf under construction.
Lorne Bridge (Vic, 2002)
This
was another VicRoads project
involving Solid Silane treatment.
